NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - Roy Lavern Scivally, Sr., 91,went to be with the Lord Friday, March 7, 2025 in North Richland Hills, TX.
Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 in Mount Olivet's Breyley Room.
Roy was married to Rosalind Johnson Scivally for 67 years, she preceded him in death in December of 2019. He was also preceded in death by his parents, M. C. and Ethel Bond Scivally; daughter, Susan Stuart; son, Cliff Scivally; daughter-in-law, Karen Little Scivally; and brothers, Thurman and Glen Scivally.
Survivors: Daughter, Tammy Hale and husband, John of North Richland Hills; sons, Roy Scivally, Jr. of Dallas and Rob Scivally and wife, Brandy of Watauga; granddaughters, Layla and husband, Keith, Courtney and Jade; grandsons, Alan, Craig, Cliff II, Clayton, Caleb and Calvin; eight great-grandchildren; multiple nieces, nephews and cousins; one brother, Don Scivally and wife, Linda of Thackerville, OK; and a host of friends he made over his lifetime.
Roy was born on January 12, 1934 in Thackerville, OK. He spent his childhood working on the farm with his family and attending church. He spent the majority of his life raising his family and running businesses in Haltom City, first at Roy's Drive In Grocery and later, Roy's Remodeling.
Those who knew Roy knew him to be kind, humble and intelligent. He could fix anything, he would help anyone, and he treated all with respect. He was so grateful for the friends and family he had.
Roy Lavern showed us all the true meaning of being loved unconditionally. He was loved and revered by his family. He was also respected and loved by everyone that knew him.
