Roy is now hugging his son Conner on the other side. Bombing through Roslyn and Little Naches on his motorcycle. Racing his bike at Renegade Raceway. Sky diving across the heavens. Camping and hiking up at Rimrock. Jet Skiing at Bumping Lake and riding it like he stole it. Four wheeling through monster mud holes with his son. Snowboarding down the mountain trails. Snuggling and booping the snoot of Turbo and Dozey. Most importantly, he's completely pain free and reunited with everyone who went before him.
Roy was blessed with some pretty amazing friends who closed ranks around him when he was diagnosed with cancer and then when his only child was tragically killed three months later. They visited, called, text, took him flying, mowed his lawn, brought him food, stayed at his house, invited him to theirs, hugged him, filled his life with laughter and just loved him fiercely to the very end. No other friends could have been better. Thank you from our hearts, Jerry, Chrissy, Chet, Dave, Jason, Henry, Terry and Rosie. He couldn't have gone through this without all of your positivity, sarcasm, morbid sense of humor and support. Roy is survived by his Sister's Shelly Springer and Melissa Nott and brother Joe Metz
Roy, you did as you promised Conner, you never quit or gave up. So, all that's really left to say is "Your mutha has a wooden leg with a kickstand on it"

I've been thinking about Roy lately and wondering how he's doing. I looked him up on Facebook and found this. I'm shocked! A man so full of life and genuine love for his family and friends. We had really good times together! He moved across state to Vancouver and moved in with my children and me. Turbo, too. My boys really liked Roy. I loved him. We skydived together and he taught me so much. When it was his turn to visit his new born baby, Conner, he drove the 4 hour trip cheerfully to pick him up and bring him to visit with all of us. We had good times. I have missed him over the years and wish we had stayed in touch.
My deepest condolences to his family and close friends. Also to Conner's mother for her loss. No mother should ever lose a child.
Rest in peace, my friend, Fly with God,
Cathie
