Roy Lee Watkins, Jr.,84, of Decatur went to be with his Lord Thursday, June 26th, 2025.
Graveside Memorial is 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Roy was born October 21st, 1940 to Roy Lee Watkins, Sr. and Fay (Elkins) Watkins in Decatur, Texas. He was united in marriage December 12th, 1959 to Linda Marie Shelton in Decatur, Texas. Roy was a retired auto mechanic after many years owning and operating an auto shop. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Fay Watkins; and a brother, Ed Watkins.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of over 65 years, Linda Watkins of Decatur; his son, Kevin Watkins and wife Selma of Alvord; his daughter, Rebecca Shubert and husband Billy of Bowie; granddaughter, LeAnn Chabert and husband Joshua of Alvord; his great-grandchildren, Natalee, Paityn, Leah, and Ryder; a sister, Delaine Watkins and a brother, Bobby Watkins; sister-in-law, Cynthia Watkins; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family members and a host of friends.
