Roy Edward Watson was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, and Friend. He left us on December 2, 2024, at the age of 81.
He was the son of Ed and Diamond (Washburn) Watson and was born in New Boston, Missouri on January 22, 1943. He had two sisters, Shirley (Gerald) Barrett and Edna (Douglas) Corbin; he also had two nephews and three nieces; eight great, and two great-great nephews and nieces. And a few dear friends.
Roy attended Liberty High School in Browning, Missouri, where he graduated in 1960. He was drafted into the United States Armed Forces in February of 1965. He served as a Radio Operator with most of his service time in Korea. He was Honorably Discharged in February of 1967.
Roy worked for the U.S. Government, Bureau of Reclamation, and Department of Energy as a Realty Officer until his retirement.
In his retirement, he continued to enjoy his hobbies of water skiing, camping, dune buggies, and he really loved helping his family and friends with building homes and other various projects.
Roy recently moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Mountain View, Missouri where he was able to enjoy his remaining time with his family.
