Royal Johnson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 11, 2021.
Royal Johnson, affectionately known as "Pork Chop or Pat" was born on September 24, 1946, to Evelyn Edwards and Fred Johnson in Bishop, Texas. He attended Austin Independent High School. After High School, Pat worked for the City of Bishop for many years. In his spare time, Pat enjoyed fishing as it was a time to reflect on life and steal away for some quiet time. Pat was a very soft spoken person with a smile that would light up a room.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn Edwards and Fred Johnson; his maternal grandmother, Mariah Edwards; two sisters, Marie Bacey and Wilma Jean; and brothers: Charlie Hardeman, Sr., James Hardeman, John Hardeman, Ernest Hardeman and Willie B. Hardeman, Sr.
He leaves to cherish his life and legacy, the love of his life, LaFaye "Baby" with whom he shared many of his most precious years; a stepson, Barry Eugene Yett, Jr.; sisters: Carline Harton, Brenda Daily (Louis), Linda Taylor (Tommy), Darlene Bacey, Sharon Holmes, and Alberta Bacey (Dennis); one brother, Robert Rhone; eleven grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; special nieces: Mikinzi Williams and Mariah Williams; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
