In Loving Memory Of Ginny Marie Ellison
Ginny Marie Ellison, born on May 15, 1956, in
Columbus, Texas, was welcomed into heaven on February 17, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, and beautifully unforgettable moments shared with those closest to her heart.
Ginny was, above all else, the best mom - a constant source of encouragement, comfort, and unconditional love. Her daughter was the center of her world, and Ginny's pride in her family shined brightly in the way she spoke, cared, and showed up for the people she loved. Ginny's bond with Jessica was uniquely extraordinary: filled with laughter, love, witty remarks, quiet understanding, and all the little moments that became treasured memories only a mother and daughter could share. Michael and Ginny also shared a special and treasured bond built on laughter, mutual respect, and genuine affection. Their relationship grew beyond family ties into a meaningful friendship, and Ginny took great comfort and pride in the love and support he brought into our family's life. She was a devoted friend and family member whose loyalty ran deep, and whose presence made gatherings warmer and friendships stronger.
She had a vibrant spirit and a personality that sparkled just like the things she adored. Ginny found happiness in life's simple pleasures and the beauty of discovery. She had a special love for plants and cactuses, carefully tending to them and taking pride in watching them grow and thrive. Antiquing and shopping were favorite pastimes, where she delighted in searching for unique finds, meaningful keepsakes, and items that carried their own stories. For Ginny, these outings were never just about the purchase they were about the experience, the companionship, and the joy of uncovering something special. Ginny was a lover of all things shiny and held a special fondness for every shade of purple, a color that reflected her bright and expressive nature. These simple pleasures were part of the sparkle that made Ginny uniquely herself.
She also cherished time spent on the open road. Ginny loved back roads and road trips - the kind where the destination mattered less than the journey itself. Those drives were filled with conversation, laughter, favorite songs playing in the background, and the peaceful comfort of simply being together. Music was a steady companion throughout her life, weaving itself through quiet rooms, long drives, and everyday moments, forming a soundtrack to memories shared with those she loved.
Her heart extended beyond people to the furry companions she adored. Ginny's grand pups held a special place in her life, bringing smiles, laughter, and the kind of unconditional affection and companionship she so freely gave in return. Caring for and loving them was yet another reflection of her gentle, nurturing nature.
Ginny is survived by her daughter Jessica Cackler and son-in-law Michael; her sister Shirley Stock and husband AJ of Weimar, TX; her brother Bill Ellison and wife Janell of Belton, TX; her sister Laverne Wostarek of Weimar, TX; her sister-in-love Lanie Seitz and husband Steve of Crosby, TX; Grantt Clemmer and wife Erica of Albuquerque, NM; and many cherished friends, nieces and nephews who will continue to carry her stories, laughter, and love forward.
She is preceded in death by her brother Ray Ellison; her parents, Cecil and Clara Ellison; her Aunt Olga Slimp; and her beloved pups Daisy, Bubba, Sarge, and Andy, who no doubt welcomed her with wagging tails and familiar love.
Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, Ginny's legacy remains beautifully intact in the music that plays, the plants she nurtured, the treasures she discovered, the memories she made, the roads she traveled, and the love that surrounds her friends and family each day. She will be remembered for her warmth, her humor, her gentle strength, and the countless ways she made life brighter for others. Her spirit lives on in every shade of purple that brings a smile and a reminder of her bright, loving heart.
The family invites all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her life on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Harrell Funeral Home at 4435 Frontier Trail,
