Royce Pittman Obituary
Royce was born February 22, 1951, in Sparta, TN to the late Lewis Pitman and Beatrice Cunningham Pitman.
Royce attended Black Oak Elementary School. He graduated from White County High School in 1969. Royce's career was with Acme Boot Factory in Cookeville, Hartsville, Smithville, TN and Victoria, VA. After 20 years of service, Acme Boot shut down. Royce then went to work at the ECMD driving a truck. He said he never wanted to manage that many women again!!
Royce had a great love of all ball. He played basketball, volleyball, softball, bowling, and golf. Royce also loved farming. His greatest love was his wife, Dotty, son, Jason, and grandkids, Luke and Bella.
He really enjoyed taking his grandkids fishing, riding them on our tractors, and watching them play.
Royce was a member of the Plainview Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving family members left to cherish his memory, include his wife of 56 years, Dotty Humphrey Pitman, son, Jason and wife Angie Pitman, grandkids, Luke and Bella Pitman. Brother Dewey and wife Linda Pitman.
In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his brothers, Bob Pitman, Gene Pitman, and sisters, Barbara Jones, Eulaine Pedigo and Katherine Pitman.
Special mention Royce's life long best friend, Sady Howard, who was always part of every funny shenanigan they got into. They weren't biological brothers but brothers all the same.
The ceremony of life will begin at 2pm, with ceremony following at 4pm On Sunday, January 11, 2026.
