Mr. Royce R.J. Williams

Graveside services with military honors for Mr. Royce "RJ' Williams, Jr. will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2025, at the Bethlehem Cemetery with Rev. Dale Walker officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home.

R.J. as everyone knew him left his favorite fishing spot and went to be with the Lord December 15, 2025, in Hugh Springs, Texas. He was born July 10, 1947, in Jefferson, Texas. He was one of six children born to the marriage of Eva Mae Miller and Royce Quincy Williams. He was a quiet man who worked hard and held a deep love for fishing, his dogs and his best little buddy and great nephew Brooks. R.J. was an Army Veteran and after coming home was a long haul and dump truck driver. If he wasn't at work, you could find him on the lake in a nice shady spot waiting for a bite on the line. R.J. is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Kathleen and Margaret, and brother Clinton.

Mr. Williams is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Kay and Virginia, as well as a bushel of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of friends.
