Royst Jackson Heard

This Friday will be two years since I lost the only father I had growing up. A man I loved more than he ever could have known. My heart still hurts as much as it did to years ago. He was a loving, gentle giant. I am beyond blessed to be his granddaughter. While my selfish heart misses him everyday, I find peace knowing he is pain free and with the love of his life, my Nanny and our heavenly father. I love you Poppy.

Jack Heard was an honorable, kind and gentle man...a gentleman. He loved his family and knew that his children and grandchildren loved him! I will always remember how (as a child who spent a lot of time in his home) I found comfort in his quiet strength and his amazing smile. RIP, Uncle Jack. I will see you again soon.

Thinking of you all and hoping you find comfort in knowing he is at peace. I know he loved all of his beautiful daughters and their families. I wish I had been able to see him more in later years but I will always treasure the childhood memories of my handsome and funny "Uncle Jack". Dad "Uncle Harold" sends his love and prayers.
