This Friday will be two years since I lost the only father I had growing up. A man I loved more than he ever could have known. My heart still hurts as much as it did to years ago. He was a loving, gentle giant. I am beyond blessed to be his granddaughter. While my selfish heart misses him everyday, I find peace knowing he is pain free and with the love of his life, my Nanny and our heavenly father. I love you Poppy.

Jack Heard was an honorable, kind and gentle man...a gentleman. He loved his family and knew that his children and grandchildren loved him! I will always remember how (as a child who spent a lot of time in his home) I found comfort in his quiet strength and his amazing smile. RIP, Uncle Jack. I will see you again soon.

Thinking of you all and hoping you find comfort in knowing he is at peace. I know he loved all of his beautiful daughters and their families. I wish I had been able to see him more in later years but I will always treasure the childhood memories of my handsome and funny "Uncle Jack". Dad "Uncle Harold" sends his love and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all you girls and family. Jack can now rest and be free of all his pain. You all did such a wonderful job taking care of your father and we know how proud he was of each and every one of you. It was a great honor to know him and have Dee as our daughter-in-law. All our love, Pat and Nathan[Mom and Dad].
