Rozella Bothast Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home - Liberty on Dec. 24, 2025.
Rozella Faye Bothast, of Liberty, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the age of 81. She was born on December 26, 1943 in Connersville, Indiana, the daughter of the late Charles Paxton and Anna Fields Paxton.

A month after graduating from high school, Rozella married the love of her life, Malcolm Bothast at the Liberty Church of Christ, on June 30, 1962. They were blessed with five daughters.

Rozella had the biggest heart and really enjoyed caring for others. She worked in the healthcare industry as a nurse's assistant for most of her life. She later went to work at Energy Plus where she primarily worked in the kitchen.

When Rozella wasn't busy at work or caring for her family, she enjoyed relaxing while crocheting blankets for friends and family. She found great strength in her faith; she attended worship services at College Corner Presbyterian Church. Rozella was an Elvis fanatic; she enjoyed everything from his music to his memorabilia. She also liked indulging in reading the latest romance novel. Rozella loved nothing more than being with her family, especially giving extra love to her grandbabies. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 63 years, Malcolm, she is survived by her daughters; Harriet Bothast (Tim Williams), Annette Wilson (Doug Choban), Tanya Dominy (James), Shelley Foreman, Debra Rosenberger (Patrick) and a sister, Janeen Paxton. Her memories will live on forever in her 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Clara Dawson.

Friends and Family may visit Urban Winkler Liberty Funeral Home located at 310 N. Main Street Liberty, IN 47353 on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Funeral Services will begin at 6:00PM.
