Ruben was born on March 17, 1923 and passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017. Ruben was a resident of Rocky Mount, North Carolina at the time of his passing. He was a World War II veteran where he served as a Sargent Technician in the Army Medical Corp. He was married to Sylvia Dolores Bowen. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Patrick Sinclair officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services prior to the Graveside Service. Mr. Ruben enjoyed a good long life. He had so many memories of a life well lived. He was one of those the Bible call especially strong. Ps. 90:10

Mrs. Bowen, Scotty and extended family. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I was fortunate to grow up around the Bowen family. Fond childhood memories remain of those wonderful times, none more so than today. Mr. Bowen was a fine gentleman, husband and father.
