Ruben Hinojosa Duron

Ruben Hinojosa Duron of La Coste, passed away on February 3, 2023 in San Antonio at the age of 72. He was born May 3, 1950 in Castroville, Texas to Marcos Garcia Duron and Antonia Hinojosa Duron.
In 1968, Ruben graduated from Medina Valley High School. Ruben served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Before his retirement, he was employed as a telephone company inventory clerk and also worked as a cook in a restaurant. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Ava Quiroz of San Antonio, Raquel Duron Donaghy (Aaron) of La Coste and Veronica Duron of Washington, D.C.; son, Aiden Fussell of Arlington; grandchildren, Gabriel Donaghy, Cristian Donaghy and Raven Galdeano; great-grandchild, Maddox Galdeano; mother, Antonia Hinojosa Duron of La Coste; sister, Sarah Gonzales of Devine; sister-in-law, Ann Tschirhart Duron of Castroville; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Marcos Garcia Duron; his brother, Bill Duron and his sister, Mary Louise Cruz.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 5:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow at a later date at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Cemetery.
