Ruben Gloria

Ruben Gloria, 73, passed away on September 11, 2025. He was born on July 16, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, to the late Julio Gloria and Herminia Garcia. Ruben proudly served his country in the United States Army, a testament to his dedication and love for his nation. After his military service, he returned to Texas, where he lived a life of quiet strength, resilience, and deep commitment to his family. Ruben was a man of few words but strong convictions, with a warm heart and a quick smile. His legacy is one of loyalty, humor, and kindness. He had a special love for his family, cherishing every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Ruben had a love of sports which included Nascar, football ,baseball and basketball. His life was a reflection of his love for those around him and the joy he found in simple, meaningful moments. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julio Gloria and Herminia Garcia, and his sister, Stella Vidales. Ruben is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Gloria (Christine Marin); sons, Ruben Gloria and Timothy Gloria; sister, Angie Rivas; brother, Albert Gonzalez; grandchildren, Alina Flores, Briana Gloria, Felicia Gloria, Daisy Gloria, Jeremiah Flores, Anferney Flores, Athena Gloria, Roslyn Gloria, and Nadia Gloria; great-grandchildren, Josiah Ruiz, Rylee Ruiz, Alison Gonzalez, and Ashton Gonzalez. Ruben will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Alamo Funeral Chapels, 624 N Alamo St, San Antonio, TX 78215. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 804 Ruiz St, San Antonio, TX 78207. Committal Service with Military Honors will follow at 1:45 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
