Ruben Martinez, age 60, passed away on Saturday March 28,2026. He was born on November 15, 1965, in Victoria, Tx to the late Christopher Cano and Santos Martinez. He is survived by his mother and his spouse, Esperanza Martinez. Daughters, Mandy (Jason) Rendon of Victoria, Tx, Sarah (Ismael) Martinez of Victoria, Tx, Crystal Martinez of Victoria, Tx, Marissa Martinez of Victoria, Tx, Sabrina (Isaac) Rojas of Victoria, Tx, and Erica Navarro (Isaac). Sons, Frank (Teresa) Campos of Victoria, Tx, Ruben Martinez Jr. (Roxanne) of Victoria, Tx, and Christopher (Vanessa) Martinez of Victoria, Tx. Sisters, Joann Carisalez, Gloria Hernandez, Ester Bishop, Anna Cavazos, Margaret Estrada, Norman Cano, Sylvia Rangel and Dora Cano. Brothers, Eddie Martinez, Joseph Rangel, Jose Martinez, Raymond Martinez, Fileman Rangel and Marcus Rangel Sr. He is also survived by thirty-six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Ruben is preceded in death by his father, and his sister, Margaret Cano.

Visitation will be on Wednesday April 8, 2026, 5:00PM-8:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM at Angel Lucy's Funeral Home in Victoria, Tx. Visitation will continue Thursday April 9,2026 at 12:15PM with a Mass to begin at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Martinez, Matthew Perez Jr., Nathan Deleon, Jimmy Soto III, Israel Rodriguez Jr., and Jordan Lee Martinez.
