Ruben was a man who found joy in the siniple things always staying busy, often working outdoors with quiet determination. He had a deep appreciation for action-packed movies and TV shows, and nothing brought him more comfort than a warm home-cooked meal paired with his beloved café con pan dulce.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Bonfilia G. Garcia Rodriguez; his sons Ruben Merida Jr., Ignacio Merida, Simon Merida, Alexander Merida, Ruben Merida, and Chucky Merida; his daughters Daisy Merida and Daisy Yarelly Merida; his sisters Gracelia Merida Lopez and Marisela Merida Lopez; and his brothers Alejandro Merida, Pedro Merida, and Enrique Merida. 16 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.
Ruben's legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. His hardworking spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
Rubén Mérida, de 62 años, falleció pacíficamente el 7 de agosto de 2025 en Dallas, Texas. Nacido el 8 de diciembre de 1962 en México, Rubén vivió una vida marcada por la dedicación, la resiliencia y el amor por su familia. Rubén era un hombre que encontraba alegría en las cosas simples, siempre manteniéndose ocupado, a menudo trabajando al aire libre con tranquila determinación. Tenía un profundo aprecio por las películas y programas de televisión llenos de acción, y nada le brindaba más consuelo que una comida casera caliente combinada con su amado café con pan dulce. Le sobreviven su devota esposa, Bonfilia G. Garcia Rodríguez; sus hijos Rubén Mérida Jr., Ignacio Mérida, Simón Mérida, Alexander Mérida, Rubén Mérida y Chucky Mérida; sus hijas Daisy Mérida y Daisy Varelly Mérida; sus hermanas Gracelia Mérida López y Marisela Mérida López; y sus hermanos Alejandro Mérida, Pedro Mérida y Enrique Mérida. 16 nietos; 4 bisnietos. El legado de Rubén sigue vivo en los corazones de su familia y de todos los que lo conocieron. Su espíritu trabajador, su cálida sonrisa y su amor inquebrantable serán profundamente extrañados
