Ruben L. Rodriguez

Ruben L. Rodriguez, went to be with the Lord Saturday August 19, 2023, in San Antonio Texas, he was 55 years old. He was born on December 27, 1967, in San Antonio Texas, a son of Robert Rodriguez and the late Manuela Ledesma.
He was known for his dedication to his family and his commitment to making our community a better place. He dedicated a large portion of his life to a career in law enforcement. He was a Bexar County Sheriff's Deputy, worked for the Constables Office in precinct #4 who at other points in time served the communities of La Coste and Floresville Texas. His extensive experience allowed him to receive an education in law enforcement throughout his career. In his free time, he enjoyed being outside four wheeling in the mud and going on fishing trips with his family. He appreciated classic cars and loved to work on his hot rods.
As a son and brother, he was very attentive, always thinking of the people who were there from the start. As a father, he was the greatest any child could ask for, always wanting the best of the best for his children. As a grandfather, he was playful and supportive, always going the extra mile to bring a smile to their faces. His time with us seemed all too brief, those who knew him will remember his life with the hope and certainty that everyone will be reunited once again. His life was an example of adventure and laughter, and he was a joy to those who knew him.
In addition to his mother Manuela Ledesma, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Mandy Rodriguez; sister, Rene Rodriguez; nephew, Christopher Pena; and a cousin, Raymond Campos.
Family members include, partner in parenting Margaret Luna, his children, Antonio Rodriguez (Dana Wiggins), Jeremy Rodriguez (Jessica Romo), Carlos (Jasmine) Rodriguez, Andrea (Juan D.) Valdez, Ruben Martin (Meriah) Rodriguez, and Audrey Emily Rodriguez; and grandchildren, Tayden Rodriguez, Kaylee Valdez, Emery Valdez, Sadie Rodriguez, Easton Rodriguez, and Kaeli Rodriguez.
Additional family include his father, Robert Rodriguez; siblings, Rebecca (Larry) Moreno, Rachel Rodriguez, Danny (Cynthia) Rodriguez, Brenda (Randy) McMeans, Laura (Pedro) Villareal, Elaine (Arturo) Moreno, and Robert 'Bobby' Rodriguez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
The family will receive guests for a memorial service. Details are to be announced once they become finalized.
