Ferdinand was employed at the Sanofi Pasteur Pharmaceutical Company in Swiftwater, Pa., for many years. He was and Army veteran during the Vietnam War and he was of the catholic faith.
He is survived by 2 nieces: Margaret Ann "Peggy" Walter and her husband Kevin of Deal Island, Maryland and Catherine Plasencia of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., a sister Ana Plasencia and a brother Fr. Manual Rodriguez.
