Ruben "Ruby" Andrew Soto, age 33 of Coloma, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. He was born on January 30th, 1989 in Woodland California to Ruben and Margaret (Palmer) Soto.
He was baptized in Jesus name, received the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in tongues and is in heaven with God, his mother, and other relatives. Ruben was a wonderful son, brother, partner, friend and he was loved.
In his youth Ruben enjoyed 4-H, raising and showing various animals including chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, dogs, and horses as well as achieving black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
He respected nature, loved the outdoors, trees, gardening, camping, snowboarding, and loved his animals as family. He was caring and generous with everyone he knew, opening up his home and providing support in any way possible to people in need on multiple occasions.
He was a skilled carpenter, wood and construction worker, as well as carver. He built a garage, retaining wall, cabin in Canada, and many other furniture pieces, including a much-loved bunk bed for his nieces and nephews.
Throughout the years he made relationships working summers at Camp Luwisomo and Winters at Nordic Mountain, with his latest being as a Supervisor at Stone Ridge in Coloma.
Ruben is survived by his father: Ruben Soto; fiancé: Stephanie Ann Belter; sisters: Annette Marie (Bryan) Odeman, Bethany Ann (Tony) Shannon, Paula Jean Reible, Sarah Margaret (Randy) Malthe; brother: Jerry J. Reible, and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother: Margaret Ann Soto; sisters: Laura Reible and Angela Reible and his grandparents.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at Leikness Funeral Home, Wautoma from 10AM until 12PM. Prayers and a time of sharing will be at 12PM with burial to follow at Richford Cemetery.
