Ruby Elizabeth Wysong Arrington, 86, of Willow Oak Drive, Princeton, died early Saturday morning, December 22, 2007, at the Phillips Care Home on Browns Ridge Road, Lerona, with her husband of 69 years, S.C. �Ike� Arrington by her side. Born September 19, 1921, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late E.W. & Exie Wysong. She grew up in Princeton and was a graduate of Princeton High School in 1939. Ruby & Ike married in Bland, Virginia, on December 27, 1938. After Ike return from service in the U.S. Army in 1946, they lived briefly in Princeton, then moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, for a few months before moving back to establish their home and business at Arrington�s Grocery on the Athens Road. They lived in the apartment over the store and raised their three children until 1979, when thy retired and moved up the hill to JoHo Estates at 374 Willow Oak Drive. She was preceded in death by two sisters. In addition to her husband Ike, she is survived by three children, Gerald �Jerry� Arrington, of Athens, Diane Anderson & her husband Steve, of Camas, Washington, and Sam Arrington & wife Debbie of Princeton. Grandsons Eric & Michael of Princeton; granddaughter Heidi Sanders, & her husband Jim, and great grandchildren Mackenzie & Gage Sanders all of Mooresville, NC; grandson Keil Anderson & his wife Brienne of Atlanta, GA. Also surviving are two sisters, Betty Pack and Carolyn Wysong along with a brother Warren Wysong. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 24, 2007 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor J.D. Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens on the Courthouse Road in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family today from 6 until 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
