Ruby Brewton Obituary
In Loving Memory of Ruby Ione Brewton
January 25, 1937 – September 17, 2025
Ruby Ione Brewton, age 88, passed away peacefully on September 17, 2025, at her home in Santa Fe Trails Assisted Living in Cleburne, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Arlington, Texas, Ruby was known for her love of cooking—especially her famous Pear Bread, which she generously shared with neighbors and friends. Her passion for gardening brought beauty to her surroundings, and her devotion to faith was evident in her active membership at Arlington Community Church and her love for reading the Bible.
For the past three years, Ruby made her home at Santa Fe Trails Assisted Living. She quickly embraced the community, becoming actively involved in every activity and forming deep bonds with those around her. Her vibrant spirit and loving nature were felt by all who knew her.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Ludy Brewton. She is survived by her aunts, Effie Foster of Arlington, Texas, and Shirley Foster of Bossier City, Louisiana, along with numerous cousins who will miss her dearly.
A service to honor Ruby’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Wade Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and celebration of a life well lived.
