Ruby Virginia Bush, born on May 28, 1958, in
Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength. A proud lifelong resident of Corpus Christi, Ruby grew up in a large and close-knit family. She was the daughter of Bernard Vannoy and Mae Vannoy, who instilled in her the values of loyalty, compassion, and perseverance that she carried throughout her life.
Ruby shared many meaningful years with her beloved husband, Kenneth Dale Bush, Sr., with whom she built a family rooted in love and faith. After his passing, she continued to honor his memory through the care and devotion she showed to their children and grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by her children, Kenneth Dale Bush, Jr. and Kabie Phillips and her husband David. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Kenneth Dale Bush, III, Michael Ryan Bush, Kabie LaDawn Bush, and Ruby Raelynn Bush, each of whom brought her immense joy and comfort.
Ruby is also survived by her siblings Kathy Lemer and Sadie Vannoy, who shared with her a lifetime of memories, laughter, and unbreakable bonds.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Sr.; her parents, Bernard and Mae Vannoy; and her siblings Eunice L. Bazan, Bernard Lee Vannoy, Billie C. Vannoy, Mary E. Harper, Fred Thomas Vannoy, and Jackie DeWayne Vannoy.
Though Ruby's formal education included some high school, her life was defined not by degrees but by the depth of her heart. She was known for her caring nature, her willingness to listen, and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence brought comfort, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew and loved her.
Ruby leaves behind a legacy of kindness, family loyalty, and strength. Her memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of those she touched.
