Ruby Laverne Carr

Ruby L. Carr of Greenwood AR, came to sunset at 4:55 pm July 17, 2023.She was 92 years old. Ruby was born on May 9th, 1931, to Judson and Marsolette Williams in Greenwood, AR. She was married to A.L. Carr, from Greenwood, AR. They went on to have a combined family of five children Sam, Rebecca, David, Arvid II, and Stephanie. In 1996, Ruby retired and spent time on her favorite hobby of playing golf and achieving a hole in one not once but twice on the same fairway at Vache Grasse Golf Course. She would attend the country club with food in hand for the local tournaments, plan them, and play in them as well. Ruby enjoyed drinking sweet tea and watching the Masters on tv. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, four sisters, her husband, her son Sam Carr, her daughter Rebecca Meeks, and her son David Caldwell. She is survived by her brother Kenneth Williams, her sisters Billie Stockwell, Mary Ann Tate Kover, Gayle Gill, Carolyn Ingram, her son Arvid II Carr, her daughter Stephanie Evans, eleven grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will occur with details to be determined.
