Ruby “Elaine” Chadwick was born on January 3, 1935 in Wood River, Illinois to Alfred John Helmkamp and Hazel Irene Moore. She passed away surrounded by family on January 8, 2025 in her home in Navarre, Florida. She worked for a living for a number of years as a bookkeeper for The Salvation Army. This was also her church home where she taught as both Sunday School and Jr. Soldier teachers and held several leadership roles in the local Women’s group.
She was predeceased by Edward Chadwick, her husband of 45 years. She is survived by her children: James, Deborah Bowers, Steven Chadwick and Susan Anderson; grandchildren: Adam and Alisha Bowers, Wesley Chadwick, Christopher and Ashly Anderson; and greatgrandchild Matthew Allshouse. Supported alongside those who love and support them in their lives as husband, wife, partners, friends, and mentors. She was deeply loved in her life and will continue to live on through those who remain and be forever remembered for all she has done.
