Warren Josiah Chadwick

Warren Josiah Chadwick, a beloved husband and stepfather, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 93. Born on October 4, 1932, in Wilmington, Warren lived a life full of adventure and dedication, both to his family and his passions.

Warren proudly served in the United States Coast Guard and Reserve for over a decade, where he developed a lifelong love for the sea. Following his service, he embarked on a fruitful career as a plumber, dedicating 40 years to the trade with skill and diligence.

An avid boater, Warren spent 25 memorable years living aboard his own boat in Key West, embodying the spirit of adventure that defined much of his life. The ocean was not just his career; it was his home, his passion, and ultimately, his final resting place.

Warren is preceded in death by Donna Chadwick; his son, Warren Chadwick Jr.; and his stepson, James Rogers. He leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Judith Chadwick, and his caring stepson, Donald Biludeau of Key West, along with numerous friends who will miss him dearly.

In keeping with his wishes and his love for the sea, a burial at sea will honor Warren's adventurous spirit and enduring connection to the ocean.

His family and friends will remember Warren for his unwavering loyalty, kindness, and the joy he found both in the simplicity of his work and the boundless expanse of the ocean he called home.
