Obituary
Ruby Faye Deason Colle was born on July 27, 1943 in Shelby County, the daughter of Willie S "Bud" Deason and Stella Mae Gage Deason. Ruby passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Garrison at the age of 79. She married Richard Lee Colle on May 13, 1969.
Ruby was a daughter, sister and wife, but her most valued titles were mamma and grandmother. Being a mamma to Ricky brought her the best of memories and when Sissy was added to the family, she knew the love of a daughter as well. Their children became the light in her life and being a grandmother was some of the greatest times for Ruby. However, when she became a great-grandmother, she was overwhelmed with love and joy from all of them and her life was complete. She knew she was truly blessed with a wonderful family. She loved them more than life itself and was beyond proud of all she was able to witness them accomplish. Just as it is with any mother and grandmother, they could do no wrong. She also knew in her heart that if anything needed to be done, Ricky could certainly do it because in her mind, he could do ANYTHING!
Ruby was not one to just sit around so after her retirement, she continued to work until February 2023 when her health no longer allowed it. She was kind, loving, never had a harsh word to say to or about anyone and always had a smile on her face. She took every moment to spend with Ricky and Sissy and the grandchildren and loved having them close to her. Her home was beautifully surrounded by her favorite flowers and plants which she took great pride in. She also enjoyed crocheting and over the past few months, she was able to make each of her great grandchildren an afghan. A gift for them to treasure for years to come. She was a woman who was loved completely and admired greatly.
Ruby is survived by her son, Ricky Colle and wife, Sissy of Garrison; grandchildren, Shanna Whitton & husband, Trent of Garrison, Breann Bush & husband, Brady of Garrison, Dalton Colle & partner, Brittany of Cushing and Austin Colle & partner, Romie of Joaquin; great grandchildren, Amanda, Abigail and Trenton Whitton, Lane & Dani Bush, Wrynnli Colle and Paisley & Kannon Green; special niece, Dorothy Scroggins and nephew, Billy Deason.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Colle; grandson, Richard Samuel Colle; parents, Bud and Stella Mae Gage Deason; siblings, Willie Deason, James Deason, Clauda Pierce, Mattie Johnson and Dorothy Colle.
