Ruby L Day

Ruby L. Day, age 85, widow of Harold Day, passed away Friday, December 29th, 2023, at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY. She was born January 21st, 1938, in Garrard County, to the late Francis and Grace Carpenter Lear. She was a homemaker and farmer. Mrs. Day enjoyed the Berea Senior Citizens Center, playing cards and reading. She especially loved her church family at the Leavell Green Christian Church in Garrard County, KY where she was a member and attended for over 60 years.
Other than her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one brother, James Earl Lear and one grandchild, Kendra Day.
Mrs. Day is survived by her three children, Willie Day and his wife Debra of Berea, KY, Linda Clark and her husband Leon of Mount Vernon, KY, and Kevin Day and his wife Chandra of Paint Lick, Ky. One sister, Mary Harris of Berea, KY, seven grandchildren, Jennifer Edwards and her husband James, Mark Day and his wife Whitney, Scott Johnson and his wife Lindsey, Stacy Johnson, Kameron Day, Kayden Day, and Kedron Day. Six great grandchildren, Adrianna Harris, Ellie Harris, Dylan White, Keeley Tiravanti, Lauren Johnson, and Grayson Johnson.
Visitation will be Monday, January 1st, 2024, from 5-8 PM at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home, funeral services will be Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Harvey Spry officiating, you may view the service live at www.davisandpowellfuneralhome.com burial will follow in the Day Cemetery in the Cartersville community of Garrard County. Pallbearers will be, James Edwards, Mark Day, Scott Johnson, Dylan White, Kedron Day, and Grayson Johnson.
