Ruby Ewald

Ruby Elizabeth Ewald of Sylvania, OH passed away on December 14, 2022. She was born on June 25, 1931, in Delta, OH to Harold and Cora (Wentz) Moore. She graduated from AI High School. Ruby married Robert L. Ewald on May 1, 1954, at Rosary Cathedral.
Ruby worked for Mutual of New York and proudly worked as a secretary in various offices in Toledo throughout the years. She was Treasurer for the Brotherhood of Locomotive engineers, secretary for the St. Francis Guild and was a member of the Emblems through the Elks Club.
She loved traveling with her husband to Europe, Aruba, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, the Caribbean and numerous family vacations throughout the United States, and Canada.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for her love of life and family.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Marcene Rains, Connie (Richard) Shiple, Joyce Borton and Steve Ewald; grandchildren, William, Kristie and Melissa, Bryan and Rachael, Eric, Lindsay and Nicholas; great grandchildren, Isabella and Alexia; and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and sister, Mary Lou Roth Bennett.
Funeral services will be held privately with the family at Walker Funeral Homes, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623. Memorial contributions will be made to the Humane Society. Condolences can be left at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
