Ruby Fleming Obituary
Born June 12, 1928 in Clinchco, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Vesta (Goade) Hickman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Max N. Fleming, and four sisters. She was the last of her immediate family.
Ruby is survived by her children, Carol Nelson and husband William, of Boalsburg, Max Fleming, Jr. and wife Sue, of Reedsville, and D. Jean McGinley and husband Samuel, of Bellefonte; eight grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
While she resided in Lewistown, she was a member of Lewistown Presbyterian Church.
Earlier in life, she owned and operated the Reedsville Country Store for 30 years alongside her husband, Max.
A memorial service in loving memory of Ruby will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday July 14, 2023 at King-Barr Funeral Home LLC, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown, with Rev. Sarah Sedgwick officiating. There will be a visitation held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will take place in Juniata Memorial Park.
