Ruby M. Garrison

Ruby Garrison, 83, of Frankford, Delaware, transitioned to her heavenly home on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Delaware Hospice in Milford, Delaware. Born in Accomack County, Virginia, on December 24, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Ethel Sue Doughty and Mallie Willies.
Ruby was educated in the Accomack County School System and graduated from Jason High School. She was a lifetime member of St. John 2nd Baptist Church under Rev., where she sang in the choir and usher for thirty years.
Ruby met and married the love of her life, Charles Louis Garrison, on June 12, 1965. From this union, they were blessed with five children and married for sixty years. She went on to work at the H & H (Mountaire) Plant. She retired from Mountaire after 30+ years of service.
Ruby will be fondly remembered for her loving, sweet-caring ways, taking her grandchildren to Ocean City and on trips, making pies and cakes, and singing. She leaves to rejoice in her homegoing, her husband of sixty years, Charles Louis Garrison of Frankford, Delaware; two daughters, Charlotte Green of Georgetown, Delaware; Pamela (Jerone) Hitchens; three sons, Glena (Michele) Garrison of Chestertown, Maryland; Kevin Garrison of Houston, Texas, Bryant Garrison of San Antino, Texas, five sisters Neviles Fisher of Frankford, Delaware, Delores Drummond of Frankford, Delaware, Bonnie Doughty of Berlin, Maryland, Belinda Drummond of Frankford, Delaware, Lisa (Tyrone) Doughty Hughey of Salisbury, MD. She also leaves eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one best friend, Inez Davis; one sister-friend, Beatrice Sturgis; three sisters-in-law, Faith Drummond, Dorry Willis, Annie "Peachy Girl" Elizabeth Williams; two brothers-in-law, Gene "Billy" Autrey (Glenda) Garrison, Brooks Eugene Garrison; host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents and she was preceded in death by four brothers Gene Doughty, Fred Drummond, Kenneth Drummond, Thurman Doughty, and a goddaughter Myeisha Everette.
