Ruby S. Gilliam, 82, passed away on Tues. May 20, 2025, in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. May 23, 2025 from 5pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Sat. May 24, 2025 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Lakeland Place Memorial Park Cemetery in Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Gilliam was born on June 27, 1942, in Batesville, MS. She retired after 40 years of service as a school teacher. Mrs. Gilliam enjoyed going to church where she was also a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Gilliam was a master gardener and was a member of the garden club in Yazoo City, MS. She enjoyed working with and selling crafts at the Canton Flea Market.
Mrs. Gilliam is survived by her husband, Kelly W. Gilliam and her son, Rocky Gilliam (Kimberly). She is preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Bobbitt.
