Ruby Powell Gray

Ruby Lee Powell Gray age 82 of Bryant died, Saturday, January 31, 2026. Funeral services are Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 12 Noon ET at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Bro. Donavan Whited and Bro. Gregg Steele officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM ET on Monday and 11 AM ET until service time on Tuesday.

Ruby was born February 7, 1943 in Flat Rock, AL to parents, William Uptson and Hester Mae Shrader Powell. She was a 1961 graduate of Pisgah High School and retired from Shaw Industries. She was a member of Kennemer Baptist Church and enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include son, David Gray, grandchildren, Corey Kidd(Jackie Miles), Amber Smith(Dillon), great-grandchildren, Finley Kidd, Grayson Smith, Callie Smith, Blakely Smith, sister, Marie Simpson, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl B. Gray, great-grandson, Cooper Smith, sister, Gerturde Wells, brothers, Bruce Powell and William Jr. "Bill" Powell.
