Ruby Grimmett

Ruby Grimmett, age 93, of Gladwin, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025. She was born on May 21, 1932, the daughter of Marshall and Georgia (Kershner) Pence in Marfrance, West Virginia. On March 14, 1953, she married the love of her life, Howard Grimmett. Together, they shared many years of love and cherished memories until he preceded her in death in 1992.

Ruby loved her family dearly, cherishing every moment spent with them. She was a woman of faith which is something she shared with those around her. She was an incredible cook and enjoyed baking. Ruby touched the lives of many and was loved by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children: Greg Grimmett, Lloyd (Cindy) Grimmett, Marshall (Lauri) Grimmett, and Vicki (Joe) Pickard; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and one on the way; 5 great-great grandchildren; siblings: Woonie Stewart, Jeanetta Carper, and Gerry Parsons; along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents, and 6 siblings.

The family would like to extend a thank you to the Gladwin Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and all of their staff for the care they provided Ruby.

Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 12:00 noon at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in accordance with the wishes of the family. Ruby will be laid to rest at Highland Cemetery in Gladwin.
