Gonzales – Ruby Lee Hinds passed away September 15, 2023. She was 85. Ruby was born on June 6, 1938 in Gideon, Missouri to Flava Blanche (Quinn) and Jessie Uni Hall. She grew up picking cotton in the Bootheel of Missouri. Ruby joined the United States Navy where she met her husband and followed him in line of service and traveled all over the world. She was very family oriented and raised her children later on as a stay-at-home mom.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend who will missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Roy Luther Hinds; parents: Flava Hall, Jessie Hall and Elsie Hall.
Survivors include her sons: Roy Hinds (Yolanda) from Sinton, Texas, Raymond Hinds from Palacios, Texas and Jason Hinds (Mindy) from Gonzales, Texas; daughter: Shelia Hinds from Blessing, Texas; 14 grandchildren: Anthony Michael Hinds, Marie Danielle Ramirez, May Dean Stojank, Roy Michael Hinds, Jr., Megan Grace Burden, Hannah Lee Hinds, Breanna Desiree Sparks, Abigail Cierra Gonzales, Alexandria Justine Hinds, Jacelin Alena Hinds, Juliana Rose Hinds, Vito Terrasas, Valerie Terrasas and Victoria Terrasas; 18 great-grandchildren; sister: Blanche Rhine (Glenn) from Florissant, Missouri.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, September 20, 2023, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Sinton. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 21, 2023, 10:00 AM at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023, 1:45 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
