Ruby Jean Hammock Jewell, age 91, of Camden, TN, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Camden Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Her funeral service will be held graveside at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Bethesda Cemetery, with Everette Holloway of the Church of God of Prophecy officiating. Burial will follow the service, and no public visitation is planned.
Ruby Hammock Jewell was born December 1, 1934, in Dyess, AR, to the late Bob Hammock and the late Susie Mason Hammock. She married Claude “Buddy” Jewell, and they were wed for 69 years before his passing on December 3, 2020. She is also survived by her daughter, Pam (Mark) Walters of Camden; son, Barry (Pam) Jewell of Paris; one sister; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Jewell is also preceded in death by her son, Michael Jewell, who passed, January 8, 2014, and by four sisters.
Mrs. Jewell was a Pentecostal by faith. Ruby enjoyed cooking for her family and watching westerns on television.
