Ruby Trent Jones

Ruby Trent Jones, 78 of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, surrounded by her family.
Born on April 25, 1947, in Fernandina Beach, Florida to the late Mary Magoline Pope and Rubin Lecil Logue. She grew up in Fernandina Beach and graduated from Yulee High School in 1965. She would marry Larry Lynn Trent in October of that same year. In 1970 and 1973 they were blessed with a daughter, Tracy Lynn Trent and son, Larry Lynn Trent Jr. They were loving parents who encouraged their children to pursue their goals and dreams.
Ruby loved the outdoors and could always be found tending to her flowers and landscape. With her love for the outdoors it was no surprise that Ruby loved to fish, and could be found many days on the boat fishing the waters of Fernandina Beach or relaxing on her dock on Lofton Creek.
Ruby grew up in and was an active member of Springhill Baptist Church of Fernandina.
Ruby is predeceased in death by her parents, Magoline, Rubin and her stepfather Lawrence Walker along with her brother Lecil Logue and many other beloved family members.
Ruby leaves behind her daughter, Tracy Osborne (Butch Osborne) of Yulee, Florida and her son, Larry Lynn Trent Jr. (Barbie Johannes) of Ruskin, Florida, her sister Virginia Towns of Fernandina Beach, Florida and her Aunt Ann Taylor, "Aunt Pandy", also of Fernandina Beach Florida and many more beloved and close family members. Ruby also leaves behind three grandchildren, Joshua Normandin (Joy Davis) Michael Osborne, Megan Nagel (Connor Nagel) and one great granddaughter Athena Normandin.
A celebration of life will be held for Ruby on November 15, 2025 at 11am at Springhill Baptist Church located at 941017 Old Nassauville Road Fernandina, Beach Florida 32034.
