Ruby Mason Obituary

She was born April 4, 1921 on Chincoteague Island, VA, the daughter of the late Elmer and Lyda Bowden.
Ruby was a longtime member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Pocomoke and taught Sunday School there for many years, She was a spirit-filled woman. Ruby was often found reading her Bible or in prayer. To friends and family alike she was known as a "prayer warrior." Ruby enjoyed crocheting and travel. She loved to cook for her family and is remembered especially for her delicious pies.
Ruby is survived by three daughters, Cecilia Mason Outten (Bruce) Yulee, FL, Lottie Mason Martin (James) Pocomoke City, MD, Cindy Mason Filipic (Kruno) Chincoteague, VA a son, Cecil "CJ" Mason, Jr. (Linda) Millsboro, DE; a son-in-law, Marvel "Shay" Wimbrow, 12 Grandchildren, 22 Great-Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. One of those nieces Dawn (Holland) Hurley Ruby helped to raise after the passing of Dawn's mother and Ruby's sister Margaret.
In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Mason and their daughter, Connie Mason Wimbrow ("Shay")
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 1:00pm at Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Pocomoke City, MD. A visitation will be held one hour prior.
