Ruby Katherine Neal, of Dexter, was born on July 6, 1937 to the late Alvin and Amy (Dawson) Barnes in Rural Stoddard County, and passed away on March 16, 2026 at her residence in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 88.
Ruby spent much of her life living in Houston, Texas, before moving back to Southeast Missouri in 2000. She enjoyed reading and making quilts.
Ruby is survived by her siblings, James Barnes, of Dexter, Missouri, Linda Kizer, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Doris Baessler, of Cleveland, Texas, and several nieces and nephews including Barbara, Bobby, Robert, Darrell, Tammy, Dellen, Bobby, Shonel and Wayne.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, “Buster” Neal and her siblings, Robert, Juanita, David and Shirley.
