Ruby Rich Obituary
Mrs. Ruby Jewell Rich, 78, of Swainsboro passed away Monday December 22, 2025, in the Emanuel County Nursing Home. She was born on January 14, 1947, in Twin City to the late Earnest Marsh and Fannie Jewell Brown Marsh. Mrs. Rich was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles “Shorty” Rich; daughter, Linda Kay Rich; sisters, Earnestine Rich, Hilda Rich; Mary Bohannon; sons, Charles Rich, II, James Allen Rich.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Matthew Rich (Michelle) of Baxley; daughters, Kathy Lynn Keel of Urica, AK, Georgia Sue Brannan of Dublin, Donna Mae Ward of Baxley; sister, Vickie Hall (Sam) of Durham, NC; special niece, Brenda Brinson of Swainsboro; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral Services will be Friday, December 26, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. prior to services.
Interment will be in Hall’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Smith, Espen Smith, Dylan Rich, Bradley Hanson, Keegan Varnedoe, and Jody Clifton.
