A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Feldner/Ritchay Funeral Home in Nekoosa.
Ruby was born on March 16, 1936, in Adeline, IL, to Oscar and Viola (Ditsworth) Lane. She attended schools in Illinois and graduated from Dakota High School on September 3, 1955. Ruby married Leland Scofield in Ridott, IL. She was employed by Economy Fire & Casualty Co. in Freeport, IL for 16 years. She then did demos at Wal-Mart in Wisconsin Rapids for 4 years before retiring.
Ruby enjoyed camping, fishing and hiking. She also enjoyed playing scrabble.
Ruby is survived by her sons, Steven (Diane) Scofield of Nekoosa, Brian (Sharon) Scofield of Texas, and John (Oneida) Scofield of Citrus Springs FL; grandchildren, Christopher Scofield of Nekoosa, Zachary Scofield of Nekoosa, Roy Fisher of Monroe WI, Robert White of Cresco IA, Leah Scofield of Fort Walton Beach FL, and Joshua Scofield of Citrus Springs FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leland; and daughters, Barbara Scofield and Wanda White.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family for a memorial bench they will be donating.
