Ruby Charlene Strine, age 92 of Nixa, MO passed away peacefully Friday, November 21, 2025, surrounded by family. She was born July 23, 1933, in Highlandville, MO to William and Flora Davis.

Ruby was married to Elmer Thomas Harp, son of George and Roxie Harp of Highlandville MO on July 16, 1949. They moved to Rockford Illinois and lived for 26 years where they had 6 children and owned an excavation business. Ruby was active in the Church of Christ. Their home was always an inviting place where family and friends gathered for holidays and to visit.

Ruby and Elmer moved back to the Hurley MO area in July of 1975 where they had a farm and ran another excavating business. In September of 2003 she lost her husband Elmer of 54 years. In 2004 she was invited to her sister Aline's home in Yuma AZ where she met John Strine and was married in 2005. Ruby and John spent 10 active years together traveling back and forth to Yuma and on several trips around the world.

Ruby loved to write poetry stories about her life and others when touched by an event. She accumulated hundreds which she published in two books. She loved to share her writing with everyone.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, William and Flora Davis, Husband Elmer Harp, Husband John Strine, Sons Aurther Harp and Charles Harp, Grandson Charles Osborne, sister Aline Larson and Brother Billy Davis.

She is survived by her Daughters Anna Osborne and husband Michael, Beverly Wilson and husband David, Charlotte Akins and husband Jeff and son Bruce Harp, sister Yvonne Dailey, 14 Grandchildren, 33 Great grandchildren, and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a host of other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends which she dearly loved.

Visitation will be conducted at 10am and Funeral at 11am on Monday, December 1, 2025, at Greenlawn South, Springfield, MO. Burial will immediately follow at Jamesville Cemetery.
