Barbara Strine Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc - Milesburg (formerly Wetzler) on Jan. 6, 2026.
Barbara Ann Strine, 78, of Julian, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her home on January 2, 2026, surrounded by her loving partner. She was born on June 23, 1947, the daughter of Raymond L. Sisk Sr. and Betty L. (Utley) Sisk, both of whom preceded her in death.
Barbara grew up in central Pennsylvania and graduated from East Pennsboro High School, where she formed friendships and memories that stayed with her throughout her life. She later built a long and dedicated career with Conrail, retiring after many years of loyal service. Her strong work ethic, reliability, and steady presence earned her the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
Barbara was known for her sharp wit, strong opinions, and unmistakable sense of humor. She had a gift for speaking her mind with honesty and clarity, always with a spark that made those around her smile. Beneath her spirited personality was a warm heart and a gentle spirit. She cherished time with her family and those closest to her, and her kindness, patience, and quiet strength will be remembered by all who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald N. Strine, who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Early of Pennsylvania, her son, Earl K. Lesniak II of Florida, her many grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Betty Sisk, and now joins them in eternal rest.
A private gathering will be held to honor Barbara's life. Interment will take place at Centre County Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Donald. The family welcomes prayers, memories, and condolences as they celebrate the life of a woman who meant so much to so many.
