Shirley E Solt

Shirley E. Solt, 81, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Centre Care Nursing Home.

Born on March 10, 1944, in Huntingdon, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Helen C. (Bowes) Bruss. On June 9, 1962, she married Calvin J. Solt, who preceded her in death on November 22, 2020.

Shirley was a 1962 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She later became a Certified Home Health Aide and devoted many years of compassionate service to Clearfield Hospital Hospice before retiring. She was of the Protestant faith.

Above all else, Shirley cherished her family. Time spent together, especially during family gatherings, brought her the greatest joy, and she will be remembered for the love and devotion she showed to those closest to her.

She is survived by her three children: Calvin J. Solt, Jr., of Bellefonte; Jessica E. Pruett and her husband, Sam, of Panama City, Florida; and Georgi L. Wayne and her husband, Tom, of Fleming. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by one brother, Hudson Rager, and two sisters, Beverly Bohn and Arlene Solt.

In accordance with Shirley's wishes, she will be laid to rest privately beside her husband at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
