Ruby Eda Strong, 90, passed away on October 1, 2025 at the Logan Manor in Logan, KS. Ruby was born on May 29, 1935 to George Alfred and Lily Rose (Gane) Proctor in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Ruby was raised and went to school in Canada before moving to the United States in the early 1960's. When she moved to the United States she got a job as a waitress, then in 1963 she married James Strong. Ruby loved to garden, go on walks, mow her yard, and even do some carpentry. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. But the most important thing to her was her faith in God.

Ruby is survived by her son: Glen Strong; sisters: Lena Andrews, Lily Bruce, Velma Proctor; brothers-in-law: Gordan Hamblin and Ron McIssac; she is also survived several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents, brother: Christopher Proctor; sisters: Jessie Dreaper, Florence Keyes, Hilda Hamblin, and Bertha McIssac; brothers-in-law: John Dreaper, William Andrews, Vincent Keyes, and Edward Bruce.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home, Norton, KS at 10:30AM. Burial will be in the Hoxie City Cemetery. Memorial contribution may be made out to Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home. Condolence can be left at www.plumergobber.com.
