Ruby Vice Kolb Obituary
New Iberia – A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home, for Mrs. Ruby Vice Kolb, who passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home.
A native of Abbeville, Mrs. Ruby was born on May 31, 1933, to the late Joseph Adam Vice and Annette Louviere Vice. She retired, as a corrections officer, from the Chambers County Sheriff Department, in Anahuac, Texas, on December 31, 2001. After living in Texas for 22 years, Mrs. Ruby then moved back to New Iberia, to be with her children and family. She loved yard work, cooking, family gatherings, and spending time with her family. She collected ceramic frogs, because they had a special meaning to her, “Fully Rely on God”.
Survivors include her children, Edward Keith Martin, Grayling Adam Vice (Linda), Anna Vice Babineaux, and Cathy Mae Neitch (Spencer); sisters, Georgie Vice Richard and Linda Vice Prestridge; grandchildren, Seth Vice, Aric Vice (Beth), Corey Martin, Tiffany Martin, Chelsi Segura (Breighton), Kristi Mistretta (Roy), Braylon Prioux (Mackenzie), Clinton Pevehouse (Taylor), Haley Pevehouse and Rylie Neitch, Jessica Says (Cody), Jennifer Neitch; great grandchildren, Katelyn Ray (Pat), Kinzie Ray, Kohen Mistretta, Keirsten Martin, and Olivia Segura; great-great grandchildren, Prestyn Ray, Caroline Jagneaux, Braxton Jagneaux, Rhett Says, and Bannon Says.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom W. Kolb; son, Clint James Vice; brother, Manson J. Vice; sisters, Lula Vice Hoag and Melba Vice Peltier; and great granddaughters, Cameron and Coryn Martin.
Pallbearers will be Seth Vice, Aric Vice, Braylon Prioux, Roy Mistretta, Breighton Segura and Clinton Pevehouse.
Honorary pallbearers include Kristi Mistretta, Prestyn Ray, Chelsi Segura, Olivia Segura and Rylie Neitch.
