Ruby L. White, 93, of Varney, WV, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on October 12, 2025, at the Four Winds Medical Facility in Jackson, OH.
Born on September 16, 1932, in Aflex, KY, she was the daughter of the late Jess O'Quinn and Beatrice Pendleton. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben E. White; her children, Bennie "Buddy" White, Bobby Dale White, and Linda White; her siblings, Jess, Jack, Ray, and Charles O'Quinn, and sister Geraldine Saylor.
Ruby was a devoted homemaker who found joy in caring for her family and sharing her love through cooking. Her kind heart, warm presence, and unwavering faith will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A lifelong Christian, Ruby was a faithful member of the Fundamental Christian Church of Varney, WV, as long as her health allowed. She dearly loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and held a special place in her heart for her pastor, Jay West.
Ruby never met a stranger-she had a gift for conversation and loved connecting with people, whether in person or by phone.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children, Danny White and wife Emma Lou, Patty Browning, and Joyce Upton; as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will carry on her legacy of love and faith.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Fundamental Christian Church in Varney, WV, with Rev. Jay West, Enoch Newsome, and Charles Browning officiating.
Visitation will take place on Friday evening, October 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Chafin Funeral Home Chapel, with a service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Buddy White Cemetery in Varney, WV. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers.
