Mr. Rudess Franklin Hooper, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at his residence. He was born to the late Dennis & Lula Craven Hooper on February 10, 1935 in Jackson County.

A funeral service will be in the Chapel at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mid-Way Church Cemetery. Reverend Bobby Griffin, Reverend Swayne Cochran, and guest speaker Lester McClure will be officiating the service. The family will be receiving friends on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mr. Hooper is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Hooper (Gillsville, GA); son and daughter-in-law, Andy & Kristin Hooper (Gillsville, GA); granddaughters, Aria & Kaia Hooper; one special cousin, Libby Norris, and several other loving cousins.

Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.

Rudess and I have been friends since first grade at Gillsville school. I can't think of a better man. My prayers are for Carolyn and the family. He will be missed.
