Rudolph Benton, of Pageland, SC passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Lancaster, South Carolina. He was born on November 2, 1933, in Madison County, Georgia. Rudolph's life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and devotion.
Rudolph was predeceased by his beloved parents, Roy Benton and Mary Graham Benton, as well as his dear son, Larry Benton. His legacy of love continues through his devoted wife of 72 years, Shirley Curlee Benton of Pageland, South Carolina.
Rudolph's memory will be forever cherished by his sons, Donny Benton (Libby) of Pageland, SC, and Keith Benton (Jackie) of Lexington, SC. His brothers, Marvin Benton (Polly) of Panama City, FL, and Charles Ray Benton of Gold Hill, NC, along with his sisters, Linda Barnhardt (Richard) of Kannapolis, NC, and Sandra Hager of Concord, NC, will remember Rudolph as a guiding light in their lives.
His daughter-in-law, Kathy Benton of Pageland, SC, will hold dear the memories of a father-in-law who was always supportive and caring. Rudolph's grandchildren, Beth Benton of Pageland, SC, Clay Benton (Amanda) of Unionville, NC, Brian Benton (Katey), Bradley Benton (Brittany), Brett Benton all of Lexington, SC and Miranda Benton of Pageland, SC, along with his great-grandchildren, Leah McMillan, Jasmine McMillan, Payton McCaskill all of Pageland, SC, Connor Benton of Unionville, NC, Freya Benton, Paisley Benton, Walker Benton all of Lexington, SC, Bentlee Doster, and Brooklyn Johnson all of Pageland, SC will miss their beloved patriarch, whose love for them knew no bounds.
Rudolph was a man of deep faith and was a dedicated member of the First Baptist Church of Pageland. His commitment to his church family was unwavering, and he found great joy in fellowship and service. He was a lifelong farmer and fishing was another of Rudolph's passions, providing him with moments of tranquility and reflection. He was an avid fan of the Central Eagles and Pageland Football and his presence will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Pageland.
There will be a Celebration of Life Funeral Service on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Pageland with Dr. Joel Dale officiating. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 126, Pageland, SC 29728.
