Rudolph Joseph Lodwick

Rudolph Joseph Lodwick, 79, unexpectedly passed away on Monday afternoon November 3, 2025 at Sharon Regional Medical Center. Rudy was born in Youngstown, Ohio on September 1, 1946 the son of Russell and Helen (Ambrozy) Lodwick and lived in McKinley Heights most of his life.
He honorably served in the United States Army and upon his discharge he worked for over 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier and in the maintenance department. He worked at the downtown Warren main office and at the Warren annex until he retired in 2001. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the William Farr Lodge 672 of Girard and the Niles York Rite. He was an avid collector of many things and sold those things at the 76 Flea Market, a hobby he truly enjoyed. He also loved to line dance.
Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and attending all of his granddaughter Ava's basketball games and also attending Ally and Sebastien's high school events. He never hesitated to pause what he was doing to help others. He would make time for anyone.
Rudy was much loved by his family and is survived by his caring wife of 55 years Nila R. (Bissett) Lodwick whom he married on October 3, 1970; son, Douglas R. Lodwick of Cortland; daughter, Melissa (Aron) Gorkie of Girard; three grandchildren whom he adored, Ally Gorkie, Ava Gorkie, Sebastien Lodwick and his granddog, Beefy.
Honoring his wishes, there are no services.
