Rudy Sweere Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Johnson-Schuller Chapel - Wadena on Dec. 31, 2024.
The funeral service celebrating the life of Rudy Sweere, son of Josh and Kaitlin Sweere of Wadena, will be held at 4:00p.m. on Saturday, January 4, at the Family Life Church in Verndale with Pastor Amos Self presiding. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 2:30 until the time of the service. A private burial will be held at a later date in Green Lawn Cemetery in Verndale.
At the tender age of three, Rudy passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2024, in Detroit Lakes, MN.
Rudy Marvin Sweere was born to Joshua and Kaitlin (Dunrud) Sweere on July 1, 2021, at Lakewood Health in Staples, MN.
Rudy, lovingly called "Little Man, Bruiser, Buddy and RuRu" enjoyed playing with tractors, Matchbox cars, Mack and "Race Car", bat & balls, fishing and anything his dad did. He was known as the family key thief and remote lover. Full of energy, giggles, and life, he lit up every room he entered. He and his big sister were best buds and did everything together. It took him a while to claim his baby sister. His favorite foods were "mac 'n noodles", "melonwater" and Gator drink. He couldn't make up his mind between blue or red for his favorite color.
Greeting Rudy on the other side of this life were his great grandparents, Marvin and Mary Wegscheid, Larry and Luella Sweere, Caryl and Cecelia Lee, Kenneth and Verna Dunrud; and great aunt Jan Eckhoff and great uncle Mark Dunrud.
Filled with treasured memories of Rudy are his parents, Josh and Kaitlin; sisters, Emmaline "Emma" and Mia, grandparents: Dan and Deb Sweere of Bluffton, Tom and Chris Dunrud of Verndale; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
Serving as casket bearers will be Scott Sweere, Marc Sweere, Matt Sweere, Luke Dunrud, David Dunrud.
